Top plate functions as the structural connection interface between the purlin and the upper end of the driven rebar rod foundation It consists of a shoe plate and a crimp tube assembly. The crimp tube is welded to the shoe plate at an 8? inclination to maintain the required 8? south-facing tilt of the structure. It is mechanically crimped to the rebar rod to ensure secure load transfer from the superstructure into the foundation element. The top plate distributes compression, uplift, and lateral loads uniformly into the rod.
